Abstract (EN)
In this study, it is aimed to reveal how classroom teachers perceive the drama method and to examine their drama planning skills. Basic interpretive qualitative research was used in this study. The study group of the research consists of 16 classroom teachers working in Gaziantep. Interview form, drama plans and observation form were used as data collection tools in the research. In the data analysis of the research, descriptive analysis and content analysis were used for the answers given to the interview form and the observation form. Drama plans were examined according to the document analysis method; The 'drama lesson plan rubric' prepared by Korkut (2020) and the 'drama plan evaluation rubric' prepared by the researcher were used. In this study, when the answers given by the classroom teachers to the interview questions were analyzed; It was seen that the perception levels on the concept of creative drama were high, the classroom teachers had difficulty in defining creative drama, they thought that creative drama contributed to the development of the individual in a positive way, and they mostly used creative drama in the life studies lesson, and then in the Turkish and mathematics lessons, respectively. It was concluded that they felt incomplete in preparing a creative drama lesson plan. In addition, when the lesson plans and applications were examined, it was concluded that the number of teachers who applied creative drama in accordance with the rules was low and they were deficient in planning according to the stages of creative drama.
