Abstract (EN)

This study explores the relationship between organizational dissent and perceptions of professional burnout among primary school teachers. Additionally, it investigates the influence of teachers' perceptions of organizational dissent on professional burnout. A correlational survey design was adopted in the study. Data collection instruments included the "Organizational Dissent Scale" and the "Maslach Burnout Inventory." The data analyzed on SPSS 25. Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was conducted to check the distribution of the data. To compare the groups t-test and ANOVA were employed, and a simple linear regression model was tested. The population of the study consisted of 1842 primary school teachers working in Batman city center during the 2022-2023 academic year. The sample, on the other hand, included 407 teachers who were reached through random sampling method from this population. The study investigated whether teachers' perceptions of study variables differed by demographics and the association between organizational dissent and perceptions of professional burnout, as well as the influence of organizational dissent perceptions on professional burnout. The findings suggested that teachers' emotional exhaustion level differed statistically significantly by gender while there was no difference by marital status and educational level. Regarding depersonalization and personal accomplishment, marital status and educational level did not create a statistically significant difference. The study also found that organizational dissent (vertical and horizontal) did not statistically significantly differ by age, experience, and educational level. . As for the associations between variables, there were statistically significant associations between the dimensions of professional burnout and organizational dissent. The vertical dissent had a significant negative influence on depersonalization and emotional exhaustion and a significant positive influence on personal accomplishment. Lastly, horizontal dissent did not have a statistically significant influence on emotional exhaustion and depersonalization.
