Abstract (EN)
This research aims to examine the acceptance of students (inclusiveness), positive and negative experiences of elementary school teachers on inclusion, and student-teacher interaction situations among students who are disadvantaged due to various reasons compared to their peers. The research was conducted in an elementary school in Ereğli, Zonguldak. In this research, the interaction of elementary school teachers with their students, the teaching practices and the methods for asylum seekers were examined. In this context, the opinions of school administrators and the guidance counselor about the current situation and the inclusive education activities for the asylum seeker students and the opinions of asylum seekers and Turkish students on school and teaching process were used. Observation and interview method was used as data collection tool and content analysis method was used in data analysis. According to the results of the research; it was observed that the elementary school teachers were strict about class rules in order to provide mutual respect and love environment in classrooms where the asylum seeker students, constructive and helpful feelings were given frequently in friendship relations, the general lessons were taught by using straight narrative method and question-answer technique. It was seen that visual and remarkable teacher entries affect the participation of these students, they can also express themselves more comfortably (Religion Culture and Moral Knowledge) and they are more participant in the lessons and the teachers actively benefit from peer education by using asylum students' classmates. Developing classroom management strategies, adapting educational materials for these students, and diversifying strategies and methods and activities to address these students and increasing research in this direction can be provided. In addition, it may be suggested to prepare a curriculum enriched with content that will increase awareness about inclusiveness and support a multicultural and intercultural education approach including the asylum seekers.
