ABSTRACTM.S.ThesisCOMPACT RIEMANIAN MAN FOLDS W TH BOUNDARYMesut POLATFırat UniversityGraduate School of Natural and Applied SciencesDepartment of Mathematics2007, Page:25This thesis is arrenged in four chapter.In first chapter, some basic concepts and theorems are given.In second chapter, characteristcs values of compact manifolds are investiged.In third chapter, characteristcs value of Sn+1 are examined.The fourth chapter is the original part of this study.In this section theorems andproofs are given on estimate of first characteristic value for hypersurfaces.Key words: Riemanian manifolds with boundary, characteristic value.
