Türkiye'de demokrasinin toplumsallaşması ve siyasal İslam'ın rolü: Milli görüş geleneği

In the modern period, one of the basic dilemmas of political Islam in the Muslim world and in Turkey is the quality of the relation between Islam and democracy. However, very interestingly, MGH which approaches to the relation between Islam and democracy in a pragmatist view has achieved something never done by any other political movement in Turkey; has been an effective mediator and thus a broad conservative mass, which resists secularism and reforms and thus cannot find a chance to be represented, involved in democratic politics and compromised with the system. This study examines the role of MGH parties, particularly RP, in the socialization process of democracy in Turkey, without discussing whether the contribution of political Islam was conscious or unconscious.
