Abstract (EN)
The making of pots and pans, which started in the primitive period, continued by gaining momentum with the expansion in production after the Industrial Revolution, as well as the periods of change and development that it went through with the influence of communal, social and cultural differences in different parts of the world in the historical process. With the acceptance of the craft, which gained a positive dynamism with the studio pottery movements, at an artistic consciousness level, the art of ceramics started to see the value it deserves. Considering the vision of design, which is one of the biggest contributions of modernism, and the processes that continue with the emergence of conceptual art afterwards, an area beyond the usual criteria and standards has been opened with the contribution of Postmodernism for ceramic tableware, which are generally produced due to needs and requirements. By excluding the functional benefit from industry and craft, more original and free forms were produced. In this study, the documents obtained from the literature reviews were examined in detail, and the periods of development and change of tableware ceramics, which had a parallel process with the art of ceramics, and the movements that affected them were specified. With the ongoing transformation, it has been tried to reveal how widespread and enriched the food presentations made in tableware produced in the level that can now be exhibited in galleries under the influence of consumption and popular culture today. Artistic propositions that take a line outside of the new, different and familiar patterns designed by making use of the accepted perception forms after postmodernism were produced. In the works produced, forms were created in which criteria beyond visual and aesthetic norms are experienced without leaving functionality completely out of purpose.
