Abstract (EN)

The main objective of this thesis is Iran?s relations with global/great powers and implications of this relationship on Turkey.The first chapter emphasizes Iran?s position in international system, implications of, Iran?s Islamic Revolution in the region, changing Iranian domestic and foreign policy, the process of development of nuclear energy and nuclear weapons, and historical background of these developments. The second chapter discusses the historical development of bilateral relations between Iran and Turkey.Chapter Three, Four, Five and Six respectively explains Iran?s relationship with great/global powers, namely the United States of America, the European Union, Russia and China, and implications of this relationship on Turkey. Finally, this study has been concluded with general evaluation.Key Words : Cold War, Great Powers, Iranian Foreign Policy, Iranian-Turkish Relationship.
