Researching of production method of open pits of Söğüt Ceramik Company and determining of production quality standards

Prof. Dr. Hakan GÜNEYLİ Ceramic sector is one of the most important industry brunches of our country which is developing rapidly. Ceramic sector achieved to hear its name in abroad in recent years and exports were made in important numbers in this sector. Söğütsen Ceramic Factory A.Ş. is one of the oldest ceramic establishments of our country. It has worked in one unit in first years. But now it is working in four units. This increases need of raw material. Söğüt Mining A.Ş.'s pits prevent a big part of raw material needs of this factory. In this thesis study, Bağkıran, Tozman and Çiğdemlik areas, which are licensed to Söğüt Mining, are considered. Geological information, reserve information, administrating information and analyses about mines, which are produced in areas, were given. At the result of study, suggestions about continues of producing in areas and administrating method which chosen in areas were done. Key Words: Ceramic, Kaolin, Feldspar. Clay, Processing Methods. II
