Abstract (EN)

After the first evidence of ozone depletion caused by refrigerants which are discovered in 80s. Ozone depletion was great concern for governments and academicians. For the solution of problem Governments signed some agreements and protocols to take diminish about CFCs and HFCs negative effects on environment. Governments pursued policy that banned or decreased HFCs and CFCs' use. the Montreal protocol which is organized in 2009 was signed by about 200 countries. Thanks to these and other protocols, agreements, HFCs and CFCs' use and production was reduced and deplation in ozone layer was stopped, and some recoveries was reported. But the negative environmental effects of refrigeration industry is not limited with ozone depletion. Global warming potential (GWP) is another important concern and governments making new laws and bans about refrigerant which has high GWP value. One of these regulations the new F-gas regulations of EU which was banned use of refrigerant which has higher GWP value than 2500 for some refrigeration system. In this study R452A refrigeration is evaluated as a drop-in replacement of R404A in a refrigeration system. R452A which has 2141 GWP values is a mid-term alternative of R404A. In the study refrigerants' performance is obtained in a refrigeration system and refrigeration system with a internal heat exchanger IHX unit. Additionally, TEWI method was used for the compare of environmental effect of refrigerants. Keywords: Refrigerants, R452A, R404A-GWP, TEWI, COP
