Abstract (EN)
ABSTRACT MASTER THESIS EXPERIMENTALLY AND THEORETICALLY INVESTIGATION OF AVAILABILITY OF SOLAR COLLECTOR WITH HEAT PIPE USING REFRIGERANT Tahsin YÜKSEL Fırat University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences Department of Mechanical Education 1999, Page: 53 In this study, two-phase thermosyphon solar collector containing heat pipes as a new system of solar water heating has been investigated. For this purpose, a two-phase solar collector has been constructed, and the results of experimental studies have been compared with the theoretical results. Various refrigerants were filled into the collector, and tested under same conditions. The effects of governing physical and geometric parameters on the efficiency of the collector are examined and the results are presented in graphical forms. The highest efficiency of collector was obtained for Freon 12. Key Words: Heat Pipe, Solar Collector, Two Phase Solar Collector, Boiling Fluid Solar Collector, Refrigerant Charged (Fluid) Solar Collector
