In this study, a simulation model was developed and codes were written for evaluating theheat and mass transfer phenomena of wet cooling coils which have different kind of circuits.The cooling coil was simulated with three energy equation and a mass balance equation due tothe condensation. The differantial equations solved numerically, after the derivations withrespect to the time variable were approximated using an explicit method, and the derivationswith respect to the space variables were approximated using the upwind difference method.The method was applied to three different kind of currently used coils and for each coildifferent solution algorithms were written.A mass transfer efficiency in a parallel manner with the total fin efficiency is introduced tothe mass balance equation to produce consistent results in the models. Thus we recognize thatthere is no condensation on all surface of the fins.The dynamic response of the system according to the different boundary conditions wasshown with the graphics and evaluated.Comparisons indicate that the model predictions show good agreement with the coil companyprogram results which based on the experimental data.Keywords: Cooling coils, Condensation, Wet model
