Abstract (EN)
Anthurium (Anthurium) is a monocotyledonous, perennial, herbaceous, epiphyte ornamental plant belonging to the family Araceae. With the increasing commercial value of Anthurium, many in vitro methods have been investigated and successfully applied for the propagation of this plant due to the disadvantages of classical propagation methods such as seed and separation. In recent years, the use of nanoparticles in tissue culture studies has become widespread and especially the positive effects of silver ferrite nanoparticles on plant growth have been investigated. In this study, the effects of silver ferrite nanoparticles (0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 ppm) on in vitro micropropagation of Anthurium were investigated in Pierik Modified MS medium containing 1 mg/L BAP, 0.08 mg/L 2,4-D and 30 g/L sucrose. The results showed that the best micropropagation performance was obtained at a dose of 5 ppm nanoparticles. In the rooting stage, only the addition of auxin-free nanoparticles gave better results compared to the control group; however, the highest root formation was recorded in the medium containing 1 mg/L NAA and 30 ppm nanoparticles. During the acclimatization process, no plant losses were observed in the nanoparticle-treated group, whereas a 12% loss was recorded in the control group. Moreover, silver ferrite nanoparticles demonstrated antimicrobial activity that reduced contamination, increased leaf area, and enhanced overall plant quality. Their lower toxicity compared to other silver nanoparticles is hypothesized to be associated with their iron content.
