Abstract (EN)

In this study, float glass substrates were transformed into frosted glasses by using coating technique. For this aim, sol-gel method, which based upon inorganic polymerization reactions, was choosen. As a precursors tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) and organically modified silane (MTEOS) were used. For the strengthening inorganic polymer network and for obtain matting effect, stabilized SİO2 particles were used. Additionally for the improvement matting effect of the coating, a matting agent was used. All coatings were applied on to the both glass surfaces, which were 25 C and 200 °C, and cured with IR lambs and thermal method. Surface hardness, abrasion resistance, haze properties, roughness, resistance against to scratch and adhesion of coatings on to the glass surfacess, were investigated. As a conclusion, disadvantages, which like enviromental pollution, coarse roughness and application difficulties were eliminated. Also coatings having high abrasion resistance, good touch feeling and scratch resistance, were produced by cheaper and easier method.
