Abstract (EN)

Nowadays, energy consumption is growing with the population growth and industrialization. Fossil fuels are supplying the most of demand for energy. The estimations show that, fossil fuels will be exhausted in 40-50 years. Because of this fossil fuel prices are increasing rapidly. Energy imbalances cause increasing of petroleum prices and economic crisis. The another important handicap of fossil fuels is environmental damage. Global warming is an important threat for the nature. Fossil fuel consumption is the most important reason of global warming. Because of these reasons, the researches on the alternative energy resources are increasing. Solar energy, wind energy, jeothermal energy and hydroelectric energy are the most important alternatives. Energy production due to alternative energy resources isn?t uniform. Some locations aren?t convenient for alternative energy resources. The most important energy holder and carrier is the hydrogen, which can eliminate this disadvantages. In this study, the electrical energy has been used in electrolysis system, whic is produced by solar-photovoltaic system. Hydrogen has been produced due to electrolysis system and its costs calculated. The data of Selçuk has been used and electrical energy costs of thermodynamic power plant and photovoltaic system has been compared. Electrical energy of photovoltaic system has been used to produce hydrogen, because it has been found cheaper. Unit costs have been calculated and the calculations for seven regions of Turkey have been made using direct proportion. All results have been shown with tables and diagrams. Keywords: Solar energy, hydrogen energy, solar-photovoltaic systems, cost of hydrogen, economic analysis.
