Abstract (EN)
In this study, it is aimed to determine the factors of bovine herpesvirus 1 (BoHV-1), bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV), bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV) and bovine parainfluenza virus type 3 (BPIV-3) which are important viral pathogens of cattle with respiratory system problems that slaughtered in slaughterhouses in Afyonkarahisar and Burdur provinces. For this purpose, after slaughter, lung tissue samples were taken from 55 cattle with respiratory system problems that taken to the slaughterhouse. Lung tissue samples were examined for viral pathogens using the antigen-ELISA kit. As a result of this study, it was detected that 2 (3.63%) samples were antigen positive for BoHV-1, 3 (5.44%) samples were antigen positive for BVDV, 2 (3.63%) samples were antigen positive for BRSV, and 1 (1.81%) sample was viral antigen positive for BPI-3. There is no statistical difference between the two cities where the samples were collected and the number of sick animals in each age group. In this study, a statistically significant difference was found between the ratio of the number of simmental cattle with viral disease to the total number of simmental cattle in the study. In conclusion, it has been determined that viruses have an important place among the factors that cause respiratory system infection in cattle.
