Interactive graphical interface design and a project proposal in the context of tangible design

This thesis deals with a tangible interactive user interface design within the context of tangible design. The subject is the study of user interfaces in which abstract objects are represented in tangible human and computer interaction. The method uses traditional screen applications such as menu, window, image, cursor, and so on. instead of using real three-dimensional physical objects that represent and control them. In this context, it has been investigated how the user benefits from the hand-motor skill and the sense of touch. It is also covered in this thesis that tangible graphical interfaces facilitate learning, reduce user mistakes, and facilitate direct and natural interaction. The first part of the thesis focuses on tactile sensation, examining the importance of childhood to adulthood at every stage of life. In this context, user experiences of existing graphical interfaces have been researched and biological and technological problems have been identified. In the second part of the thesis, the historical process of the tangible design was examined and the areas affected were identified and the principles were shown. In the third part of the thesis, tangible user interface types are shown and differences with traditional graphical interfaces are investigated. In the fourth chapter of the thesis, a project proposal was realized and a development platform with a tangible interface was established within the tangible design.
