Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, existence and uniqueness of solutions of nonlinear wave equations with damping and source terms and blow up of the solutions in finite time are investigated. In the first chapter, initial value problem for nonlinear wave equations is defined and some of the studies on this subject are mentioned. In the second chapter, basic terms are given. In the third, existence and uniqueness of solutions of the problem are studied. In the forth, global nonexistence for linear damping term is given. Finally, global nonexistence for nonlinear damping term is given. This work is performed by investigating the results known in literature.Key Words : nonlinear wave equations , damping term , source term , blow up in finite time
