The effects of social skill training on interpersonal relationship level

Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of social skill training on adolescence interpersonal relationship level. This research was designed as an experimental research involving pre test and post test. Research group was consisted of 28 volunter students who attends the 9* grade of Adana Ticaret Odası Anadolu Lisesi. Fourteen students was participated in experimental group and 14 students participated in the control group. Students interpersonal relationship level was measured by means of interpersonal relationship scale which was developted by Şahin, Durak and Yasak (1994). Researcer retested the validity and relability of Interpersonal Relationship Scale with 279 students. Experiment group was attended to social skill training for nine weeks. Control group did not receive any training. In order to data analysis was used analysis of varience for repeated measurements. The results showed that social skill training positively influences students interpersonal relationship level in general. In adition, this program have a positive effect on the level of nurturing relationship. But not on the poisining relationship sub scale level.Key Words: Social Skill Training, Adolescence, Interpersonal Relationship
