Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research ın social studies lessons, on Elementary 7th grade students, during the processing of the 'Türk Tarihine Yolculuk' unit, Effect of jigsaw technique, on academic achievement of students, information to determine the persistence and on attitudes toward the course according to current school curriculum of usage. A quantitative study with five weeks of practice in this study. The method used in the research is the quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test control group. The sample of the study consisted of 59 7th grade students attending Sefa Akın Secondary School in Kepez, Antalya in the 2016-2017 academic year. In the experimental group, the jigsaw technique was used for cooperative learning methods, and the lessons were taught using traditional teaching methods in the control group. Academic Achievement Test (ABT) and Social Studies Attitude Scale (SBDTÖ) were used as data collection tools. Independent samples t-test was used for data analysis. Data were analyzed by SPSS 22 program and significance level was considered as 0,05. As a result of the research, it was concluded that the experimental group students who were applied with the Jigsaw technique which is applied by the cooperative learning technique were more successful than the control group using the current curriculum in terms of academic achievement, the permanence of the information and the attitude towards the course.
