Abstract (EN)

Mainly the aim of this study is investigate relationship between perception and expectation for acquire knowledge and skills history, geography and vocational trainin course , teaching strategies, the use of methods and techniques, the frequency of social and cultural activities , the presence of events for development basic idea skills and the psychological counselling and guidance services in their programs that they studied the social sciences stedents, in the department of primary education. The inquiry include the 415 students studying the fourth grade of social studies education (University of Adnan Menderes, University of Afyon Kocatepe, University of Balıkesir, University of Dokuz Eylül, University of Pamukkale, University of Uşak). the students, developed by the researcher, ?The Scale of students perception and expectation for the training of social studies? applying the data obtained and the data evaluated by SPSS Statistic Programs. According to the result of research, The students? perception of the highest score is the concerning acquisition of knowledge and skills for the history course, and the highest expectation score is belong to activities for the develop thinking skills. Between perception and expectation, scores a positive correlation is identified. Additionally For the difference between perception and expectation being higher, it is determined that students' expectations are not met.
