Abstract (EN)
In this research, ın "Culture and Heritage"in the 5th grade social studies course, the effects of creative drama on students 'academic achievement and students opinions were determined. Qualitative and quantitative data were carried out in mixed-method and quasi-experimental design. Analysis of quantitative data obtained from research Excel and SPSS 20 package program; the students' opinions obtained with qualitative data were obtained by using content analysis method. Creative drama activities, It was found to be very effective in increasing academic success in the subjects of "Culture and Heritage" learning area in the 5th grade of social studies course. In the opinions of the students, it was determined that the creative drama method provided the interest, excitement, participation and interaction between the students. It can be suggested that such student-centered practices should also be conducted in other schools, and that students should be able to lead the course with different activities.
