Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, it is aimed to determine the relationship between preservice Social Studies teachers' technopedagogical content knowledge and their belief in technology according to the factors such as gender , age ,university , high school they graduated from, weekly average time spent on computer and their ability and knowledge in terms of using technology The research was applied on fourth grade students of Kastamonu and Gazi University Preservice Social Studies teachers by using the relational screening model.After asking necessary permission and controlling their validity and reliability,TPCK scale and Technological Belief scale were used as assessment and evaluation instrument. In addition to the data analyis of SPSS 20 in terms of percentage, arithmetic average and frequency ,Shapiro-Wilk, t-test, Anova, Levene and correlation analyses were used. The research findings consisting of quantitative data showed that preservice Social Studies teachers prefer using technology as a personal tool rather than educational tool. More than half of them stated themselves as sufficient in terms of their technological knowledge and abilities. It was seen that the preservice teachers are sufficent in terms of TPCK , however there wasn't any variable observation in terms of gender and high schools they graduated from. According to the data from Technological Belief Scale, it was understood that all participants believe the importance ande necessity of technology in all areas. There wasn't any variable observation in terms of gender and high schools they graduated from,too. In the research, positive correlation was observed between the scales that are applied.
