Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this research is to examine the views of Social Studies teachers on the change of social roles in family in the time frame. In this research, phenomenological research design has been utilized from qualitative research designs. Participants of the study were determined with the sample of the criterion and consisted of 10 Social Studies teachers working in the schools affiliated to Antalya Provincial Directorate of National Education. In the study, data were collected using semi-structured interview form. The thematic analysis technique was utilized in the analysis of the data obtained with the semi-structured interview form. According to findings from the research, the social studies teachers understanding the social role of the father in the family; it has emerged that they define it as a power source that protects and monitors the family, provides authority, discipline. The social role of family in the family is expressed as the source of regulative, restorative, compassion, love and trust. The role of grandparents and grandparents in the family; as a secondary parental role, which provides cultural transfer, transfers experiences, improves family cohesion, is a child's playmate, a source of joy and joy. Social studies teachers have pointed out that social roles in the family changed over time, sharing the responsibilities of this change within the family, differentiation of the decision mechanism, and the sharing of parental roles. They have explained that the lack of fulfillment of social roles creates a sense of insecurity and insecurity in the child, that the consciousness of responsibility does not develop in such children, can reveal disciplinary problems and negatively affect school success. It has emerged that the fulfillment of the social roles in the family will contribute to the development of children as life-ready, self-reliant, responsible individuals who will lead them to life, and the success of the school in a positive way. In children growing up in a different family structure environment, if the mother and father do not act in the awareness of their social roles, the child may have lack of trust, lack of love, aggressive behavior, regression, disciplinary gap, as a different family structure, but the fact that the mother and father are aware of their social roles will not have a negative effect on the child and will be a positive reflection on the success. While social studies teachers have stated that it is necessary to be in school-teacher-family business association in order to raiseawareness of social roles in the family, giving seminars and trainings may be beneficial and they have emphasized that the best education for children is their role and model. It has been explained that teachers should be in contact with parents in this context in recognition of their awareness of their students. It is stated that the approach of the teacher and the family to the child with empathy, guiding and acting with love will be a positive contribution to the child's social role awareness.
