Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine the attitudes of social studies teachers towards value-centered school culture. Survey model, one of the quantitative (research) methods, was used in the research. The sample of the research is 258 Social Studies teachers, who are working in schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in Şanlıurfa in the 2021-2022 academic year, determined by random sampling method from the universe and voluntarily to participate in the research. Questionnaire form was used as data collection tool in the research. In the first part of the questionnaire, there are 8 questions asked to determine the demographic characteristics of the Social Studies teachers participating in the research. In the second part of the data collection tool, there is the "Value Centered School Culture Scale" developed by Çelik (2019). SPSS 24.0 statistical data evaluation program was used in the analysis of the research data. In the analysis of the research data, the level of significance was taken as p=0.05. As a result of the research, it was found that the attitudes of male teachers towards value-centered school culture were higher than female teachers, teachers between the ages of 36-40 and single teachers, those who did not have children, were born and grew up in a village, had undergraduate education, and had a professional seniority of 11 years or more. It was concluded that the level of attitude towards the teachers was higher than the other teachers. Keywords: Value Education, Social Studies, Teacher.
