Abstract (EN)
Industry 4.0 is a production system that adopts an understanding based on brain power, not human muscle strength. Industry 4.0 which was employed for the first time in Germany in 2013 is no longer a distant concept for modern-day Turkey. This process, known as Industry 4.0 or the 4th. Industrial Revolution, is defined as the system where the latest production technologies, automation systems, and technologies that make up this system exchange data with each other. This new system consists of high-tech components such as Cyber Security, Cyber Physical Systems, Cloud Technologies, Smart Factories, Internet of Things, Internet Services, Learning Robots, Big Data, Virtual Reality and 3D Printers. The production system in which these components play a role is called dark production and the concept of Industry 4.0 has become a key factor that increases efficiency in the increasingly competitive environment in economies. The concept of Industry 4.0, which has created an important synergy in terms of sectors in recent years, has also affected the construction sector and technologies that will meet many needs in the sector have started to enter the construction field, albeit slowly. The concept of Construction 4.0 which is described as the adaptation of Industry 4.0 to the construction sector, has recently started to resonate in the sector. Considering that the construction sector has a structure that feeds many sub-sector and that the sector is one of the effective sectors to get rid of the tightness in the recession periods of the economy, the studies carried out in the macro and micro perspective for the sector are of great importance. From this point, two different analyses were made in the study. The first of these is a micro-scale analysis in which Elazig province is taken as an example to reveal the awareness of the concept of Construction 4.0. Within the scope of the study, a survey was conducted with 49 construction companies operating in Elazig. In line with the findings obtained, the data were presented with frequency and percentage expressions and in evaluating the survey data, three methods were used, namely, relative importance analysis, reliability analysis Pestel Analysis and Mann Whitney U test. Another analysis made in the study is a model study conducted with econometric methods that reveal the factors that determine the sales demand of the housing industry, which is one of the sub-components of the construction sector. In this model study included in the fourth and last part of the work, the Augmented Dickey Fuller (ADF), Philips Perron (PP) and Ng-Perron tests, which are the Classical Unit Root tests, were used. In addition, in this part of the study, Zivots and Andrews unit root tests and Lee and Strazicich (2013) birefringent unit root tests, which are unit root tests that take structural breakage into account, have been used. In order to test the linearity, following the linearity test of Harvey, Leybourne, Xia (2008), Hepsağ (2019) unit root test and also Hepsağ (2019) cointegration test were used. According to the findings of study, it has ben reached that there is a long run relationship between the amount of housing sales with income per capita, the number of agricultural employment, the population and the number of marriages and the deflator.
