After the Industrial revolution and as a result of the globalization; political, economical and social balances have changed; the effect of this change is also felt in social life.Together with the changed order, social state understating in terms of welfare becomes weaker and states turn their faces to a more liberal concept. Liberal order draws away the states from a structure protecting its citizens from all socio-economical risks, and in the societies facing social and economical risks, social exclusion problem occurs.The people subject to social exclusion are mostly old people, poor people, disabled people, orphans, women and minority groups. However the disabled people face more difficulty among them. Social exclusion of disabled people starts from their birth and continues in their family lives, education and employment that is to say in their whole lives.In this study social exclusion is explained conceptually and its components and aspects are taken into consideration. The exclusion of the disabled people in all their lives is demonstrated and the current situation in Turkey is explained. The reasons that cause exclusion of the disabled people in working life are evaluated and measures in order to prevent this are listed.Key WordsSocial Exclusion, Disabled, Employment of the disabled, Social Policy, Protecting the disabled in working life.
