Abstract (EN)

This study aims to examine the effects of social physique anxiety on the hedonic, liminoid, organic and intuitive eating attitudes of the holiday period and the relationship ınoculation theory based messages (supportive-rebuttal) and intuitive eating attitudes. Considering that, unlike daily life, individuals' eating behaviors during holidays can be shaped by psychological, social and environmental factors, the effects of social physique anxiety and vaccination messages on eating attitudes are discussed in detail. In this direction, three hypotheses were developed and their support status was evaluated through the analyses. A quantitative instrument was developed for this study and a scenario-based research technique was applied to participants. For this purpose, assuming that they were on holiday, two different scenarios containing social messages based on ınoculation theory were prepared. Survey forms containing the scenarios were introduced physically (face-to-face participation) and electronically to (N: 453) participants selected by convenience sampling method. Data regarding social physical anxiety and hedonic, liminoid, intuitive and organic food eating attitudes and eating amounts were collected through survey. In addition, the effect of social messages based on inoculation theory on intuitive eating attitude has been researched. The analysis of the datas was carried out by using SPSS-29 version. The distribution of demographic variables were investigated with frequency analysis and the reliability of the scales used was evaluated with Cronbach Alfa coefficient. The factorial structures of the scales were tested with factor analysis, before this, Kaiser-Mayer-Olkin (KMO) analysis and Barlett's Globosity Testing applied. The demographic differences between two scenarios sampling were investigated with Chi-Square Analysis and the differences of answers given to the intuitive eating attitude between two scenarios sampling were investigated with T-Test. The relationship among social physique anxiety, hedonic eating attitude and liminoid eating attitude, dining quantity, organic food eating attitude and intuitive eating attitude was investigated with correlation and single acting ANOVA analysis. As a result of findings, it was examined if the hypotheses were supported or unsupported. The results showed that the social physique anxiety particularly affects intuitional and emotional eating attiude negatively, the ınoculation theory based social messages are inhibitive and it affects emotional dining behaviours positively. Besides, it was determined that the weight disatisfaction increases the hedonic dining manners and social physique anxiety affects individuals' dining manners significantly. KEY WORDS: Social Physics Anxiety, Hedonic Eating Attitude, Intuitive Eating Attitude, Liminoid Eating Tendencies, Organic Food Eating Attitude.
