Abstract (EN)

Social entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurs and social enterprise organizations established by these individuals are the relatively new concepts found in the academic literature. Social entrepreneurship aiming to solve the day by day growing social problems in the century in which we live introduced continuous innovation and proactive activities for social impact. Social entrepreneurs being aware of our life problems are working to use available resources, to explore opportunities with creative thinking and to create social value. In this study, who is a social entrepreneur and with what kind of activities in solving the social problems are being investigated. In this context, social entrepreneurship plays an important role as an effective solution in the elimination of social problems. This thesis work consists of three parts. In the first part; the general definitions of the concepts of entrepreneurship and entrepreneur, social entrepreneurship and social entrepreneur; and in the second part, global organizational activities of Ashoka supporting social entrepreneurs are discussed. In the third part of the study; the case about the problem of the youth unemployment in Turkey is examined. In this section, the definition of the institution in which the case study analysis is performed and ways to achieve its goals is explained.
