Independent Groups t-Test and ANOVA to determine whether the variables assumed to be normally distributed differ according to sociodemographic variables; Mann Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis tests, which are non-parametric tests, were used to determine whether the variables not in the range of -1.5 to 1.5 differ according to sociodemographic variables. Pearson Product-Moment Correlation was used to analyze the relationships between variables. Finally, the mediating effect of perceived stress on the relationship between social appearance anxiety and emotional eating was tested with the structural equation model (SEM) and the Sobel Test was applied to measure the significance of the mediating variable.
