Perceptions of aging of the students of social work department Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University example

The aim of this study is to measure the perception levels of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Social Work students about aging and to reveal how the individual differences of students affect their attitudes towards aging. In the first part of the study, a literature review was conducted, and at the same time, the concepts of age, old age and aging were discussed in detail in many frameworks. In the study, a demographic data form was used to determine the socio-demographic status of the students of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Social Work, and the attitude scale towards aging and aging, which was created by Otrar'ın 2016 to determine the attitudes and perceptions of the students towards aging. has been directed. In the research, demographic data form and attitude scale were applied to the students on the online platform due to the Covid 19 pandemic restrictions. As a result of the research, it has been revealed to what extent the individual differences of the students affect their attitudes towards aging. It has been determined how the individual differences of the students participating in the study, such as gender, age, number of siblings, and which grade they are, affect their attitudes towards aging and aging. When the results of the study are evaluated, for example, in terms of gender, statistically significant differences were determined between girls and boys in terms of the scale of attitude towards aging and aging, and it was determined that the average score of boys was higher.
