Issue of children's rights in Turkey in terms of social policy: A study of the area

This research aims to reveal the real demands of today's children and a child rights-based policy as a matter of social policy, and tries to develope recommendations for the creation of these demands. It consists of two parts. In the first part, the phenomenon of children, children's rights, children's rights under the policies of the republic to the present state periodically monitored for the development of children and children's rights in Turkey, in the current state of the document has been scanned. In the second section the implementation phase of the study was started. In this section, the universe, including field research in selected secondary schools in Malatya expectations for students, children's rights, was asked to write an essay describing the status of requests and the views and feelings of the student. During the collection of data, data-analysis and interpretation of the data obtained in these compositions qualitative research methods were used. With this study, we aimed to reveal the real demands of Children on children's rights and in the end it is found out that children's emancipatory demands to participate in decisions, to represent theirselves, to carry their own responsibility, to express their thoughts, to be respected and noticed by the society and to have a right for political actions. In this regard, in our opinion, the new task areas of social policy for children, should be defined around the question of "how to liberate children of today".
