Özet (EN)

Although crime prevention activities seem to be related to the law enforcement works, it needs a broad consideration since the motivation of crime has lots of causes. Sometimes the causes of crime can have more than one cause and be very complicated, which makes it difficult to understand. Lots of criminologists have been studied about the crime up until now. Some of them have found some results to explain the motivations or causes of crimes with their theories. Proponents of the theories of causation usually insist that the truth is to be found only in their own studies, however; each builds the complete subject in the picture of that piece of it which he happens to have touched. On the other hand, the motivations or causes of crimes can change from society to society, however, crime is same everywhere. In this context we can say that there are some universal and local factors, which affects crime being committed. In this study firstly the terminology of labour economics and industrial relations; social state, social policy and social security systems are explained. At the second chapter the motivations or causes of crimes are explored with criminological theories. At the methodology chapter crime rates, types and locations of Turkey are studied so that we can make some relations about crime and find some solutions about crime prevention. Lastly some results and suggestions are declared to prevent from crime.
