Özet (EN)

Food has been the most basic need for human history and the source of energy for intelligent beings. Chocolate, on the other hand, has written its name in the literature as a gastronomic element that attracts the attention of humanity with its cocoa bean. Chocolate has taken its place in the literature with different meanings, both psychologically and physiologically, and has also been the subject of films. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory emerged as a book evaluated with fantasy foundations for Roald Dahl, and was later brought to the silver screen by Tim Burton. In the study, the gastronomic elements in the 2005 film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory were evaluated with the semiotic method in the processed form of gastronomic elements based on characters and social structure. As a result, it was concluded that the fantasy-based gastronomic elements in the film were mostly evaluated as intermediary and guiding elements within the society.
