The image of religion officers in the society in terms of sociocultural

The religion is phenomenon that has continued its existence fromexistence of humanity. Since the beginning of the humanity, it is easilyseen that there is no society without religion. Religion concretes only insocio-culturel environment that consists of people believe it. The mostimportant worship in İslam is `salah?. The holy places that people pray in,the social interaction and integration established are mosques. In mosques,the central person is the reverend. He is considered as a representative ofthe religion. The subject of this study is the image of a reverend in societymind considering rapid change and transformation in today.This study consists of two chapters as theoretical and empirical. In thetheoretical chapter ; firstly, it is focused on the aim of our research, itsimportance, method, assumptions and studies before handled about thesubject.Later, the basic concepts of research are explained and therelationships between Religion& society and reverend&society areemphasized by means of social and cultural.The today?s importance of image and theoretically the subject of thereverends? images are researched.In the empirical chapter; it?s analyzed the images of the reverends bymaking use of observations over 112 persons ,selected as experimental.In the last chapter; results and suggestions are accomodated and thestudy?s completed in this way.The key words: Society, reverend, social and cultural construction, image.
