Examination of the concepts abstraction, deformation, metamorphism and metaphor under the contex of art department lectures in the faculty of fine arts

This research aims to determine the views regarding the instruction of theconcepts like abstraction, deformation, metamorphism and metaphor in thebachelor?s degree in the Department of Art at Fine Arts Faculties in Gazi, MarmaraUniversities and Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts. To determine these qualities,the instruction of the concepts are examined regarding the aims and content of thelectures. And the views of academisions are tried to be fixed to determine theproductivity these lectures.This research is done by investigation technique. The datums concerning thetechnique are got by investigation the source and forms of information collecting.The working group of this research consist of instructors of art this Gazi UniversityFine Arts Faculty, Hacettepe University Fine Arts Faculty and Atılım UniversityArchitecture and Design Faculty. In the research, the datums got by form ofinformation collecting, are analysed by making to use of techniques of percent %and descriptive statistics includes frequency.Examined the research findings, it is observed that art instructors are of thesome opinion that abstraction, deformation, metamorphism and metaphor improvesthe individuals when they are learnt, argued and analysed in art education. Thestudent who is instructed about art education must think about the observation andviimake use of the concepts like abstraction, deformation, metamorphism and metaphorwhile making the research of form.Insufficiency of use of technology, physical condition of the workshops,limited content and time of the lectures and inconveniency of the schedule in theArts Faculty effects the lectures negatively. Interview with the instructors alsosupports this opinion.According to this research, new suggestions are served regarding thereconstruction of extent of the environment, behavior of the students and instructorsand programme of the concepts, abstraction, deformation, metamorphism andmetaphor.
