Related to physical, mental, visual and hearing impaired in the field of sport sciences content analysis of publishes theses

Aim: The research aims to analyze the postgraduate theses published in the domestic about the physically, mentally, visually, and hearing impaired. Material and Method: The case study model, one of the qualitative research methods, was carried out. The data were obtained from the YÖK National Thesis Center database. It was selected from the thesis studies published at the master's and doctoral levels. The research, a total of 170 scientific studies were reached, including 139 master's and 31 doctoral theses. Content analysis was performed to determine the available data. Results: Considering the education levels, most research was done at the master's level. Research was mostly conducted at the Institute of Health Sciences. In the researches has been observed that the Associate Professor Doctor are more involved in the studies as consultant titles and the scientific researches conducted are generally page the range of 51-100 pages. When the genders of the researchers were examined, it was found that there were more male authors. The studies were mostly carried out in Gazi University. When the researches by years are examined, more studies were conducted at the master's level in 2019, and at the doctoral level in 2011 and 2019. Quantitative non-experimental methods were used in the theses with the most 79 studies. Survey and scale tools were used the most with 79 studies as data collection tools. The range of 1-30 was used more in the number of samples. When the sample characteristics of the studies were examined, 38 physically disabled athletes and 38 mentally disabled sedentary individuals formed the largest sample. When we look at the topics of the theses, exercise and sports psychology have been the subject with a maximum of 54 studies. Conclusion: Scientific researches about obstacles and disabled individuals, recreation and sports, physical education, physical activity, physical education and sports pedagogy are more involved in the studies, and to exhibit solution -oriented approaches in research and solution -oriented approaches.
