Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this study is to examine the existence of the statistical differences and relationships in the career planning and development of the graduates of the Faculty of Sport Sciences and their students. Students and graduates of a public university participated in the research voluntarily. In this direction, two different universes have been tried to be reached. Accordingly, 528 participants who could collect healthy data from 1236 students studying at the faculty formed the sample of students. In addition, 335 participants who can collect healthy data from the population of 1567 graduates who graduated from the faculty in the last 5 years constituted the graduate sample. The Fast Big Five Personality Test (Morsünbül, 2014), Career Adaptability Scale (Kanten, 2012), Professional Decision Regret Scale (Erdurcan & Kırdök, 2017), Career Stress Scale (Özden & Sertel-Berk, 2017), Career Determination Scale (Akçakanat & Uzunbacak, 2019) and the personal information form prepared by the researcher were used as the data collection tools of the research. Independent samples t-test, one-way variance and correlation analysis were performed on the data obtained from the research. As the adaptability of sports sciences graduates increases, the graduation average and monthly earnings increase, the level of graduate education increases as the feature of extroversion decreases, the responsibility feature is in a positive relationship with the graduation average, as the emotional balance feature increases, there is a regular job situation and positive changes in monthly earnings variables and finally It is concluded that as the openness to experience increases, the average graduation increases. On the other hand, it was found that sports sciences students were more adaptable as their age increased, their grade point averages increased as their responsibility characteristic increased, and their emotional balance feature increased as their grade level increased. The results of the study are expected to contribute to various career studies in sports sciences.
