Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this research is to examine the digital game playing attitudes of the students of the faculty of sports sciences with both quantitative and qualitative methods. As the model of this research, "mixed methods research", in which qualitative and quantitative techniques are used together, was preferred. Among the mixed method designs, "convergent parallel design" was determined as the research design. The quantitative data of the research consists of 318 students, 138 women and 180 men, and 14 students constitute the qualitative data of the research. The quantitative data of the research were obtained with the Digital Gaming Attitude Scale. Qualitative data of the research were obtained by Semi-Structured Interview Form. SPSS 22.0 statistical package program was used during the analysis of the quantitative data. First of all, the internal consistency coefficients were examined, then the skewness and kurtosis coefficient was evaluated. Accordingly, t test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Scheffe test were used. In the analysis phase of qualitative data, the data were analyzed and interpreted using the content analysis technique. As a result, it is thought that both quantitative data and qualitative data support each other and that the students of the faculty of sports sciences have moderate digital game playing attitudes. 2024, xiii + 66 Pages Keywords: Sports Sciences, Digital Gaming, Digital Gaming Attitude, Mixed Method
