Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to examine the psychological well-being, life satisfaction and psychological need satisfaction levels of the managers working in sports clubs. The research group consists of 242 sports managers from the sports clubs affiliated to Hatay Amateur Sports Clubs Federation and Hatay Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate. In order to collect personal information from the participants, "Personal Information Form", "Psychological Well-Being Scale" adapted into Turkish by Telef (2013), Life Satisfaction Scale adapted into Turkish by Dağlı and Baysal (2016), and "Satisfaction with Life Scale" adapted into Turkish by Kardaş and Yalçın (2018). The Balance in Psychological Needs Satisfaction Scale" was applied. The obtained data were processed into the SPSS 15.0 package program and analyzed. In the analysis of the data, number percentage distribution and descriptive statistics were made to define the demographic characteristics. The conformity of the data to the normal distribution was checked with Skewness and Kurtosis values (Skewness and Kurtosis values ranged from -1.5 to +1.5). One-way Analysis of Variance T test, Mann Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis tests were used in the analysis of the data. Pearson correlation analysis and regression analysis were used to evaluate the relationship between the scales. As a result of the research, it was found that the scores they perceived from the Balance in Psychological Needs Satisfaction Scale differed according to the variables of age, marital status, occupation, education, duration of management, income, smoking, and being an anxious person; It was observed that the scores of the Psychological Well-Being Scale differed according to the variables of marital status, income, alcohol use, and being an anxious and stressed person. As a result of the analysis, it was found that 37% of the variance in a significant regression model and psychological well-being variable was explained by the sub-dimensions of relationality, competence and autonomy. According to these findings, relatedness, competence and autonomy sub-dimensions predict psychological well-being positively and significantly.
