The image determining factors in sports and perception levels of branches: Example province' s of Eskişehir

This paper, aims to show the levels of image determining factors and sports branches' perception levels.The search is on people above 18 living in center Eskisehir and samples are given about 1009 people in Eskişehir.İn order to determine the factors which determine image and the branches' perception level, a questionnaire (which has 6 parts) is applied. in the questionnaire form, there are 34 expressions determining image on spor. There are 6 branches of sport activities (3 of them individual and others group). The perception level of sport branches are 16.The datums are analized with SPSS 12.0 package programme. İn the analysises frequency, percentage, average, standart deviation, factor anaysis, recreation analysis, ANOVA and t tests are done.According to the results of the search, there are 6 factors determining image on sport. The most important ones are ?equipment-formation-atmosphere? and ?expansive-distraction?. The sports image factors affect dependency on sports, direction to sports, sport consumption and advice. For each of these factors there are differences on sports experiences, being avare of media and demographic features. The perception levels change in all 6 branches. The levels of perception are determined. That the levels of perception change due to sport experience, following media and demographic features is seen. The search is important in its contribution to sports literature and sponsors, sport clubs, federations and advertisment factories.
