Özet (EN)
In this research study, we identify the problems of the start-up ecosystem in Guinea, an ecosystem that allows the survival of new businesses founded by young entrepreneurs who cannot benefit from bank loans or support. The impact of public support policies is highlighted. The data are from an interview conducted in 2023 under the supervision of the BANDIRMA ONYEDİ EYLÜL UNIVERSITY. After addressing the issue of small business creation, we examine the different support options offered by APIP (Private Investment Promotion Agency) to help young entrepreneurs find financing in local private banks. The analysis leads to the conclusion that an entrepreneur considers his or her business to be more sustainable when he or she is a young person with no means of financing, with an entrepreneurial environment that fosters a taste for entrepreneurship and independence, setting up his or her business after having made certain decisions so as not to wait for the state to employ him or her. The improvement in survival is due to the similarity between the entrepreneur's previous activity and the activity of his or her business and the fact that he or she has start-up capital. State support for new entrepreneurs (investment grant, support grant, reduced social security and employer contributions) does not contribute to reducing the risk of entrepreneurial failure, except for obtaining loans. On the other hand, a business that receives entrepreneurial training and support after its establishment is more likely to survive.
