Abstract (EN)
Objective: Digitalization in implant surgery provides optimal planning of the implant position and the transfer of this planning to the surgical field. This process is defined as computer-assisted implant surgery. There are two types of computer-aided guided systems: dynamic and static. In static guided systems, guides can be supported by teeth, bone or mucosa. These systems aim to place implants in the most accurate position and angle, increasing the success of the implant/prosthesis complex and thus providing a sustainable aesthetic and functional final treatment. However, there are still question marks in the literature regarding the accuracy of these systems. The aim of this study is to evaluate the accuracy and effectiveness of implants placed with static guides. Method: Preoperative and postoperative CBCT images of 46 implants placed with the static guided system were superimposed and the deviations between the planned and final implants were calculated. Results: The mean coronal deviation of the implants was 1.72 mm (0.35-3.11), mean apical deviation was 1.91 mm (0.76-3.86), mean angular deviation was 4.56° (1.02-16.89), and mean depth deviation was 1 mm (0.03-2.36). Conclusion: The accuracy of 3D computer-assisted implant surgery is in the acceptable range in most clinical situations. However, significant errors can still occur when using these guidelines. Taking into account the deviations reported in clinical studies and the results of the literature, it can be concluded that a safety margin of at least 2,5 mm should be left. With a thorough understanding of the guided implant surgery process and careful surgical technique, it is possible to reduce these risks. Key words: static guided surgery, implant, accuracy
