Özet (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to examine the effect of the third grade "Let's Know the Force" unit carried out with STEM applications on students' problem solving skills and attitudes towards STEM. In the research, STEM education approach applications were prepared according to the 5E learning cycle. The research was carried out in a public primary school in Düzce in the fall semester of the 2021-2022 academic year. The research was designed with a "single group pre-test-post-test weak experimental design" which is one of the quantitative research methods. The study group of the research consists of 30 third grade primary school students studying in a primary school with a higher socio-economic level compared to other public schools in the city center of Düzce. Data collection tools consist of problem solving skills scale and STEM attitude scale. As a result of the research, although there was an increase in the students' problem solving skills post-test average scores, it was determined that this change was not statistically significant, but it was determined that the applications made had a positive effect on the students' attitudes towards STEM.
