Abstract (EN)
ST segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) is one of the leading causes of death. It is a serious cause of morbidity and mortality both in-hospital and after discharge. The search for risk factors for mortality and morbidity in STEMI, both in-hospital and in long-term follow-up, has always been a matter of curiosity for cardiology. Previous studies have shown that hyperlipidemia is a serious poor prognostic risk factor for most cardiac and non-cardiac diseases, especially atherosclerotic heart disease. Recently, the evaluation of inadequate statin response despite appropriate statin therapy as a prognostic indicator in different diseases and especially in different entities of coronary artery disease has been investigated in the literature. Statin therapy has been shown to reduce mortality and morbidity in STEMI patients undergoing primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) regardless of response. However, statin response has not been evaluated and compared between adequate and inadequate groups in the literature. The aim of this study was to evaluate the lipid profile of STEMI patients after 12 weeks and to analyze and compare the retrospective mortality and morbidity data of patients grouped as inadequate statin response. If inadequate statin response is shown to be an important indicator for endpoints, more intensive and outcome-oriented treatment planning can be made. In this study, we will investigate the prognostic significance of statin use in patients with STEMI according to whether they reached their target values according to current guidelines.
