Özet (EN)
The antiviral effects of stevia, the popular plant of recent years that were shown to have antiviral activity in human viruses previously, was investigated in BPIV-3 for the first time with this master's thesis and It has emerged with new data whether it can be an option or not in the fight against BPIV-3 infection, that causes significant losses of the our country economy and can not be controlled with vaccines, For this purpose, non-cytotoxic dose of stevia in MDBK cell culture was determined by cytotoxicity test and after, the antiviral effect of stevia on BPIV-3 was determined by titration test at with and without stevia treatment. In conclusion, with this master's thesis, the minimum and the maximum non-cytotoxic dose of stevia in MDBK cells were calculated as 10μmol/L and 5000 μmol/L and It was determined antiviral effect of 10-3.7/0.1 ml BPIV-3 titer were reduced to 10-1/0.1 ml and 100/0.1 ml in MDBK cell culture. respectively.
