Abstract (EN)

In the research, which is motivated by the communicative aspects of the space design fed by the present values, a case study using qualitative methods in a niche area pointing the multiple aspects of interior design discipline has been introduced. Culture, identity, corporate identity, brand, space and experience have been explained in the scope of this study and the new roles of interior design defined by social changes are emphasized. The notions on how these societal transformations impact social life practices from the concept of experience are given and it is thought that giving examples from retail areas for this field of the interrelations between human, space and experience design will enrich the content. In the following section which ends with the nowadays statement of space experience in the retail areas, the method is explained. The flagship stores which chosen for purposive sampling, are analized in detail by specifying the criterias to be examined in the space experience. Results of this analysis were shared in the findings and comments section. how to establish the flagship store design codes for today is interpreted. In the conclusion part, the reasons for the existence of physical merchandising in spite of nowadays online retailing, the implications for the present role of the interior design discipline in the retail field have been put forward. The study, which is an assesment of the situation in today's retail design with an interior approach, also contains clues for the near future. The aim of this study is to examine the strategic role of space in communication for the retail design that requires multiple perspectives and to estimate the views about formation of the codes of space experience design in today's retailing field.
