Abstract (EN)

The garment performance of the fabrics during usage is very important both to ensure that manufacturers produce value-added products and to meet the expectations and demands of the consumers. The most important features expected from the fabrics during usage are that depending on the joint movements knee, elbow and waist areas can stretch comfortably and, after stretching, can recover without any change in shape. Denim fabric with the warp Ne 10/1 combed yarn (Tencel/CO 50/50), the weft Ne 16/1 (Tencel/CO 50/50) + 78 dtex EA is aimed to minimize the growth value and four different fabrics are produced for this purpose. In the samples, Tencel/Cotton blended Ne 10/1 combed yarn was used as the warp yarn, Ne 16/1 Tencel/Cotton blended single core or Tencel/PES blended 78 dtex Elastan content single core was used as the weft yarn, as well as Ne 16/1 Tencel/Cotton blended 78 dtex Elastan and 55 dtex T400 content double core yarn. Using of these weft yarns in different ratios, fabrics in Twill 3/1 Z texture which are commonly used in denim sector were produced. All fabric samples were prepared as half legs form and three home washing, rinse washing, stone washing and stone + bleaching washing processes were applied. In addition, each washing was applied with and without silicone. Elasticity, growth and dimensional change after washing tests were performed, which are the most important parameters, on these sample fabrics and their values were examined. In addition to these tests, tensile strength and tearing strength tests were performed on the fabrics and mass per unit area were examined to observe the weight changes of the fabrics due to shrinkage after washing. All tests were evaluated statistically. According to the analysis, it was found that the fabric performance was affected by the weft yarn type, the difference of washing processes and the silicon content.
