List the nurse working stress effect on quality of life

Abstract (EN)

Stress in daily life has negative effects on people's private and business life. It causes to decrease organization performance and increase occupational accidents. It also affects nurses' life negatively, moreover it puts nurses' and as well as their patients life at risk. So that, the life quality of nurses has to be improved byreducing stress level for higher working performance, thus for better care quality for the patients.Working shifts, the uncertainty of job description, autocratic management, excessive workload, the absance of adequate remuneration, interpersonal communication and security problems make nurses stressed, and their working life quality is decreased.These problems resulting the reduces on the working life quality of nurses thus causing health problems, absenteeism and leaving the profession. For improving life quality, determination of job describtions and working condition of nurses should be guaranteed by laws.Participation in management of staffs should be supported by new organization structures, and the workloads should be decreased by enhancing number of staffs sufficiently. Feedistribution of nurses should be fare and adequate.Communication education should be organized and medical personnels have to be protected from violence by increasing security level in the hospitals.Methods of coping with stress should be taught andsources of stress should be reduced.
