Abstract (EN)
Entrepreneurship is fundamental for economic development, innovativeness, productivity, and growth of every country. Moreover, entrepreneurship elevates the standard of living, encourages the emergence of new technologies, and attracts foreign investment. Therefore, to promote entrepreneurship, it becomes necessary to exam factors that influence entrepreneurship. The main purpose of this study is to examine the factors that have significant relationships with Total Entrepreneurial Activity (TEA) in Somalia/Hargeisa city. The relationship between societal attitudes towards entrepreneruship, entrepreneurial intention, motivation, network, opportunity and capability perceptions, education, fear of failure, age, gender, and marital statusand total entrepreneurial activity are examined. Data of this study were collected by handling adopted and developted survey by using the standard questionnaire which is developed by Global Entrepreneurship Monitoring (GEM)project and related theory through random sampling method.A total of 517 questionnaires were collected face-to-face and analzed using suitable statistical method. The results of the study show that there are significant relationships between total entrepreneurial activity and societal attitudes towards entrepreneurship, socialnetwork, motivation, fear of failure, and opportunity and capability perceptions whereas entrepreneurial intention, education, age, marital status, and gender do not have significant relationshipswith total entrepreneurial activity.
