Abstract (EN)
Considering the historical background and purpose of the United Nations, it is a historical duty for the United Nations to take steps to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Indeed, although the United Nations has made a breakthrough with many resolutions and diplomatic efforts in this direction, the United Nations has focused on how to ensure security in the region for Israel. Therefore, the United Nations seems to have turned a blind eye to the Palestinian-Israeli conflicts. On the other hand, Israel has known to turn the privileged structure bestowed on itself in favour and expand the occupation areas in the Palestinian region. The complicated layout in Palestine became more complex, and most of Palestine began to fall under the hegemony of Israel. Subsequently, an ineffective United Nations has emerged in Palestine and remained behind Israel's dominant position. At the same time, this situation caused the United Nations to be passive toward Israel in Palestine territory. Thus, Israel has led the way in the peace process to be long-lasting peace process by not complying with the many initiatives like resolutions and diplomatic efforts made by the United Nations for the peace process. Indeed, Israel had done its best to ensure these initiatives were unsuccessful. Of course, this was not the only reason, but Israel was one of the main reasons blocking the peace process for solving Palestinian-Israeli issues. At this point, the thesis will investigate the main structure of the United Nations in the shadow of the Palestinian Israeli issues. In this context, special resolutions, which are 194(II), 242, 338, and 478, and diplomatic efforts for peace will be examined, and the background behind their failure will be revealed.
